In 98% MINT CRISP all matching condition with totally factory original finish, we have an extremely rare Non-Import Marked, Very Early July 1944, production 1st Chinese Contract Canadian Inglis Mk 1∗ Tangent Slotted High Power Pistol with a mint condition correct 1944 dated Shoulder Stock that is not “Made in Canada” marked. 1944 dated stocks are extremely rare and seldom ever seen, so this in and of it’s self is a great find. This is all matching, and the bore is mint new as well. You will notice that this pistol is so early that the Mk 1∗ designation is hand stamped after the parkerizing which adds to the desirability.
This pistol actually never made it to China, as the supply lines at the time were not stable. It was instead issued to the Canadian or British Army Fighting in Europe at this time, In fact this pistol could well have been at Arnhem in Sept 1944 for Operation Market Garden.
This is a very rare opportunity to own a prime example of the very Famous Inglis made WWII High Power.
