In 96% very sharp  condition, we have a prime, museum grade Very Early 1st Day Production, Serial Number 36!!!  Colt Model 1917 US Service Revolver in .45acp.  This is 100% factory original, all matching with a mint bore and is a sight to behold!  It would be impossible to locate an earlier example than this.  Records indicate that this revolver was shipped to the Springfield Armory in October 1917 as part of the first shipment.  The M-1917 revolver was widely issued in both World Wars and was used by other federal agencies such as the Post office and the Treasury department for many years.

This is a US Army WWI classic, and certainly one of the earliest ones known to exist!  Getting serial number 36 would be a huge score for any Colt Collector!!!
