In 97% very sharp condition, we have a very rare and highly sought after US WWII early 1944 shipped Colt Detective Special Revolver. According to the Rush Colt Letter the pistol was shipped on Feb 24, 1944 To US Military Intelligence at Camp Ritchie Maryland. The bore is mint and the gun is matching as well.
The Camp Ritchie Boys, as they were known were mostly young Jewish Men who spoke German. They were trained to interrogate captured Nazis and were instrumental in rooting out Nazis leaders and war criminals towards the end of the war. Because of this connection these guns are fiendishly collected. You don’t want to miss out on this one, it’s been a long time since one came out of the woodwork.
