Description

In 90-92 % condition, we have a 1919 production Colt Model 1911 Government Model Commercial Pistol.  This pistol was shipped in 1920 to a hardware store in Minnesota and is believed to have ended up in Canada until 1950’s-60’s when it came back down to the States.  The most plausible explanation was that it was a bootlegger gun for all those whisky running trips across the Great Lakes during Prohibition.  The pistol is all original and the bore is excellent.  It would have graded a bit higher but there is some pitting on the logo side of the slide.  Not horrible and its there.  Priced accordingly this is a collectible that should be a good occasional shooter as well.
