This is a 96% very sharp example of a very rare and seldom ever seen Sauer Behorden (Authorities model) Pistol that has the early Nazi Era Prussian State Police Starburst property marking, which is rarely seen. This is all matching with a mint bore as well. This was the last design upgrade of the old style 1913/30 Series of Sauer 7.65mm pistols and it was specifically designed for and marketed as a Nazi Police issued sidearm with added safety features.
Behorden Pistols were almost exclusively sold to various Nazi era Police and Security organizations, I do not think many if any were sold commercially. The most notable feature on this pistol is the trigger safety, which helps to prevent accidental discharge, a design feature used today most notably on Glock Pistols. These pistols are exquisitely made and finished and are of a very small size and extremely ergonomic. Very few Behordens were produced as the very innovative Modell 38 would soon replace it. Today, these pistols are seldom seen and hardly ever in such fine condition; it is a real find for the Police or Sauer pistol collector
