Description

In 99% mint crisp condition, we have a scarce, late production Walther P.38 Pistol This pistol was made in 1981 and is not import marked.  This is a commercial pistol and it has the improved alloy frame with the hexagonal steel reinforcing bolt that was installed on pistols made 1975 and later that made the pistol much more durable.  It is completely matching and factory original.  Although it was designed just prior to the outbreak of WW2 the P.38 was still one of the most advanced pistols available for sale on the market in 1981.  When I grew up as a kid this was certainly in the top 5 cool handguns out there that we all dreamed of owning.  As with the Post war Walther PP & PPK pistols these P.38’s are seeing a surge in collector interest which I think it based on the nostalgia that we collectors of a certain age feel about them.  This pistol is about 10 years to young to qualify as a C&R so it will need to be transferred by an FFL holder.
