Description

In 98%++ eye-popping condition, we have a Mauser Model 1934 Pistol that is Kriegsmarine Eagle/M property marked.  This pistol falls into the 4th variation with no propety # and the E/M of the right side of the frame.  6,000 of this variation are known to have been procured.  The 1934 Mauser is the most commonly encountered German Naval issued side arm but they are by no means common or easy to locate.  The Kriegsmarine was in terms of manpower quite small compared to the Army and did not have a need to arm all of their personnel.  Every German U-boat lost in the war carried a goodly number of these to the bottom of the Atlantic as did every other German Naval vessel sunk during the war.  As you might well imagine the survival rate is quite low and finding one in this stunning condition is quite problematic because of the harsh marine environment.  These factors greatly affect the rarity and desirability.
