Description

Certainly the most historically significant French pistols we have had in the office, This pistol played an important roll in the May-July 1940, Battle for and Fall of France.  In 97% condition we have an early 1940 production SACM Mle 1935A Pistol.  This pistol is fully rigged out with 2 spare pre-war magazines and the original Model 1937 Holster and most importantly, that holster is named to a French Army Officer, Capitaine Moyaux.  The gun is in excellent all matching condition with a mint bore.  This late production A block pistol is from the last large shipment of regular production pistols and was shipped in early 1940 to the Parc Regional du Material Bourges, the main French Army supply center.  It is known that most of these early 1940 production pistols were rushed to Tank Units and very likely this pistol would have been issued and soon after captured or surrendered to the Germans who would have then re-issued it to their occupation forces in France.  These early pre war/pre fall of France pistols are highly collectible and are in extreme demand.  This officer named fully rigged out example is about as good as they get!
