In 98% mint crisp condition we have a 1944 production US WW2 US Property marked Colt 1903 General Officers Pistol. This mint example is somewhat unusual due to the fact that it was issued to 2 difference Vietnam Era Brigadier Generals, first in 1961 to BG Merlin DeGuire and then again in 1964 to BG Joseph Hardin. The pistol comes with documentation for both Generals but it also comes with a book from the University of Texas and a Legion of Merit with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters that came from the career of General Hardin. General Hardin was well known in the Military for revamping the Army Air Force Exchange (PX) which he received a lot of credit for. Later in Life he was President of Sam’s club, Fed Ex, Kinkos, and Dean Foods. If you collect these important US Martial Pistols that were carried by our top commanders this is certainly one of the more interesting examples that we have offered.
