Description

In 97% very sharp condition, we have a prime example of the well known M1907 Dreyse Pistol in 7.65mm.  Prior to the outbreak of WW1 this was one of the most commonly encountered German Police issued service pistols.  They were also popular with officers and civilians.  They were widely employed during WW1 and there are many photographs of them in the field.  This example is in mint condition and is all matching and has an excellent bore.  These pistols are very scarce and rarely found in this condition and this is a real find.  Normally, this is not the type of pistol that we are on the lookout for, but this example was just too clean to pass up.  To our eyes this pistol is quite ungainly looking and seems awkward, but if you look at it from the time frame that it was in widespread use, it was as ergonomic and useful as many of the early automatic pistols of the period.
