IN 98% ORIGINAL CONDITION, WE HAVE A VERY RARE 1945 PRODUCTION COLT SERVICE MODEL ACE PISTOL. THIS PISTOL HAS THE VERY RARE LATE WAR JSB INSPECTION MARK FOR INSPECTOR JOHN S BEGLEY, WHO WAS THE FINAL WARTIME INSPECTOR OF MILITARY INSPECTED COLTS. THIS PISTOL WAS SHIPPED TO THE US NAVY IN NORFOLK IN AUGUST 1945 RIGHT AT THE END OF THE WAR. THE SERVICE MODEL ACE IS ONE OF THOSE COLTS THAT HAS GARNERED A LOT OF MYSTIQUE, ONLY AROUND 12000 WERE MADE AND VERY FEW STILL SURVIVE IN ORIGINAL CONDITION. THIS IS A VERY CRISP AND CLEAN GUN THAT HAS ONLY SEEN STORAGE, THE BORE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. IT ALSO COMES WITH A SPARE FACTORY FRESH SEALED MAG.  THIS IS AN IMPORTANT AND DIFFICULT TO FIND ADDITION TO ANY SERIOUS US MARTIAL PISTOL OR COLT COLLECTION. THEY JUST NEVER COME UP FOR SALE.
