The pistol is absolutely 100% correct and factory original. There are two things that makes this one of the rarest Rem Rands you will see, first it was made in June of 1943 the lowest production month with only 2,461 pistols being manufactured, and secondly it is one of the very first pistols to have the parkerized finish, it may well have been the first one so finished. So we have a very rare confluence of features in a like new condition Remington Rand. If you are looking for a Rem Rand or a mint 1911a1 this is a must own piece for any 1911 collector.
