This is one of those rarely seen rather obscure pistols of WW1 era Central Europe. In 95% very nice condition we have a 1914 dated M1912 Steyr Hahn Pistol from the Romanian Military contract of 1913-14. What makes this even rarer, it is one of the slotted variation that were made to accept a shoulder stock. The pistol is all matching and the bore is in excellent condition as well.
The rarity and historical significance of this pistol cannot be understated; when Romania declared war on the Central powers in 1916 things did not go well, and in 3 months their Army was wiped off the face of the earth. Most of these pistols did not survive WW1 and those that did mostly perished in round 2. Very few of these pistols have come to light in the intervening hundred years. This is a very rare chance to get one of the few that have survived.
