This is one of the rarest and most visually alluring pre-ban Chinese AK variants that you will ever see.  We have a circa 1983 Norinco 56S-3 Full Red Bakelite Stock semi auto Rifle absolutely new in the box that was imported by IA CO SAC CA. These Red, stocked  Red Chinese rifles and extremely rare and are never seen.  This type of material was developed for use in jungle environments and was used in Vietnam.    While we seldom sell firearms from this era, this was a significant enough find that we felt it would be extremely desirable to many of our clients.
