SOLD VERY SELDOM SEEN CZECH Vz33 CARBINE…..MATCHING AND “CETN” BORDER GUARDS UNIT MARKED……NICE!

In excellent minus all matching condition, we have a very scarce and seldom seen 1935 production  Czech Brno made Vz 33 Carbine.  This fine example still has the original issue sling and the cleaning rod sections are still in the butt.   These 8×57 carbines were mostly issued to the Paramilitary Czech Border Police such as this example was, with the “CETN” marking on the stock disk, and were also used by the Finance Police “FS”and other Government forces and Military units.  When the Germans took over complete control of the Czech State,  most of these carbines ended up with the , especially the  Police units and this carbine was a vet bring back captured from the Germans during WW2.  These rifles are extremely rare and highly sought after especially considering the slightly  modified German Army version of this Carbine is the famous G33/40 Mountain Carbine. These VZ33 carbines are extremely scarce; only around 25,000 were made and there were 5 times as many G 33/40’s made, and you know how hard it is to find a nice example of that carbine!!!   No advanced German WW2 rifle collection should be without one of these very rare and very famous carbines.
