SOLD SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1899 US NAVY REVOLVER ULTRA RARE!

In 90% all matching original condition, we have an extremely rare and seldom ever seen  Smith & Wesson Model 1899 US Navy Revolver in .38 special.  In 1900 the US Navy ordered 1000 of this new modern revolver and they stayed in service in the fleet certainly until the end of WW2. This is the original initial production of the revolver that would soon be known as the Military and Police model, certainly the most widely used and made revolver of the 20th century.  An updated version of this would be called the Victory Model and was extensively use during WW2.  This is a very significant revolver for the Smith and the US martial pistol collector, it’s very elusive and seldom seen and rarely ever this nice. This is a real find!
