Description

In mint new un-fired still in the cosmoline condition, we have a pristine example of a February, 1945 production Remington Rand 1911a1 U.S. Army Service Pistol.  this pistol looks as if it came right out of the box it is so crisp.  You just rarely ever see an example that is in such stunning condition.  Remington Rand was the largest producer of these pistols during the war and they were made to extremely high standards of quality and are considered to be better made than even Colts.  Much of this is attributable to the fact that they made typewriters and other precision equipment so the employees worked in a very detailed oriented culture.
