This pistol actually never made it to China, as the supply lines at the time were not stable. It was instead issued to the Canadian or British Army Fighting in Europe at this time, In fact this pistol could well have been at Arnhem in Sept 1944 for Operation Market Garden. Whether made by FN in Belgium or by Inglis in Canada, the Browning High Power pistol was certainly the most sought after handgun by both sides due the large capacity magazine and its flawless function.
Scotty’s Collector Insight….This is a very clean Inglis rig that most importantly is not import marked. With these guns you have to make sure it’s not an import and that the stock is not a Chinese made reproduction. This set-up is the real deal.
