SOLD WEBLEY 1908 PISTOL, 7.65/.32 auto, THE METROPOLITAN POLICE MODEL, NICE!

In 95% condition we have a seldom seen Webley 1908 7.65/.32 auto pistol, Known and so marketed as the Metropolitan Police Model Pistol.  This pistol was issued to the London Police who took them into service in 1911 to replace those chunky old R.I.C. revolvers that were becoming a bit dowdy after the turn of the century.  The old Webley finish like the Colts of this period was extremely fragile and its rare to see one this intact.  These pistols were also heavily used by other commonwealth police forces and was quite popular with senior British officers.  A nice example of a hard to find Webley.
