In excellent condition, 100% factory original, we have an original US M1 Garand Service rifle Manufactured by International Harvester In October of 1953. International Harvester was awarded this contract in order to decentralize armaments production in the age of the atomic bomb. Prior to this contract, all Garand rifle production took place within a very close radius to Springfield armory, and you only need close when you are dropping A-bombs. Because of the great attention to detail followed by IHC these rifles have a fantastic reputation for very high quality and are highly sought after by collectors and shooters alike. This rifle is exactly as it left the IHC factory with the Julian dated stock and the LMR made barrel. This is a nice example of Garand production in the post WW2 era.
