THU FEB 27, OUTSTANDING 1917 COLT MODEL 1911 COMMERICAL GOVERMENT MODEL 1911 PISTOL, SHIPPED TO PITTSBURGH, PA, APRIL, 1917, ABSOLUTLEY STUNNING!

In 98%+ mint stunning condition, we have a top example of one of the last Colt Commerical 1911 pistols shipped prior to our entry into WWI.  This Colt is 100% in factory original condition still with all the parts it left Colt’s with. This is an outstanding example that really pops!

The pistol comes with a Colt Factory letter that indicate it was shipped in April, 1917 to the famous old Pittsburgh Sporting good firm W. S. Brown Co.  It was part of a 20 gun shipment that is believed to have been intended to use for the security of one of the large steel plants probably for use against striking employees.  This is a striking example of a very well preserved Colt with a Pittsburgh Pedigree.
