In Antique excellent totally matching condition, we have an extremely difficult to locate Amberg 1877 dated Mauser Model 1871 Service Rifle, still with the original sling and a correct bayonet, both also nearly impossible to source. The bore is excellent and the cartouches are very clear on the stock. This is the perfect rifle for Christmas time, as you could could arm one of the soldiers from the Nutcracker Ballet.
The Mauser M 1871 stayed in service right through to the end of WWI. It was used by third line troops and by the German Colonial African Askari Soldiers to great effect during WWI. While we frequently encounter the Mauser Model 71.84 rifles, you just never see the Straight up Model 71’s and absolutely never this nice and complete! This is an antique and can be shipped directly to you. I would not putter in buying this the first Mauser collector who sees it will snap it up!
