SOLD, VERY SCARCE LUFTWAFFE EAGLE/L, 243 CODE 1940 (MAUSER BORSIGWALDE) K98k MAUSER RIFLE, ALL MATCHING, VERY SHARP WITH SLING! XXX PRIVATE RESERVE STOCK!

In excellent all matching very sharp condition, we have a very scarce early war production Luftwaffe issued Eagle/L marked 1940 dated 243 code (Mauser Borsigwalde) made K98k Mauser Service Rifle with a nice marked sling too!.  The rifle is all matching dwon to the screws with an excellent bore.  The cartouches on the laminated stock are very clear and crisp.  The blue on the metal is quite nice and the bore is mint.   The date/code combination of this rifle is a very difficult one to locate and any serious collector of 98k’s knows what a real find this rifle is.  This is very much an example of one of those rare sought after codes that is irresistible to own in this solid condition.
