Description
This is an extremely rare end of war P.38 variant, and they are described on page 108 of Krutzek’s P.38 book. This is know as the “ac” frame variant, they were made at depots in 1944/45 to help meet the demand for pistols in the late stages of the war. They are not serial numbered, usually have Mauser slides and this one also has a Spreewerke barrel and have frames that are “ac” marked. There are 25 known surviving examples known.
This is one of the rarer of the late end of war variants and a seldom seen opportunity to obtain an example.
