In excellent all matching condition, we have a very scarce, Final 35th Series Production Toyo Kogyo Hiroshima made Type 99 7.7mm Service Rifle. This is in the “Last Ditch” configuration with a simplified wooden stock that you can see the chatter marks on that has a wooden buttplate. These chatter marks are extremely desirable to collectors. The sights are simplified and its very roughly finished. Of course all matching with an excellent bore. A top example of a very hard to find late war Type 99 Rifle especially as this was the last Series produced by Toyo Kogyo and only half of the run was manufactured before the end of the war.
This rifle is extremely desirable because it still has the Imperial Crest on the Receiver, this is especially hard to find on a late war rifle as most were not issued and were surrendered and the crest was then ground off of the rifles. This rifle still having the insignia is a HUGE Plus. When collecting Jap Rifles remember these words; “NO LOGO…. NO GOGO!”
