This is 98%+ stunning mint condition Nagoya Arsenal Torimatsu Factory June 1943 production Type 14 Nambu Pistol. This was the main combat handgun of the Japanese Army during the WW2 era and would have been issued to Junior Officers in front line combat and enlisted ranks that had need of a pistol such as machine gun crews. This is a fairly well made mid war production example that is completely matching and still shows a high degree of fit and finish which deteriorated considerably towards the end of the conflict. This was a much sought after trophy during the war and they were commonly referred to by the G.I.’s as “Japanese Lugers” as they bore a passing resemblance to the infamous German Pistol. If you collect these or are just looking for one exceptional example for your collection this is an ideal piece.
