In 97% very sharp condition, we have a highly collectible and very hard to find 1962 Production Colt Government Model .45 acp Pistol still with the original matching box. This is the full size Service Pistol that is the commercial version of the Colt Model 1911a1 US Army Service Pistol. The pistol is 100% factory original and was just lightly used.
As popular as this pistol was to Americans in 1961 Colt did not make a ton of them and they have become scarce and highly collectible. The reason for this is that in the early 1960’s the NRA was surplus selling a large number of US Military 1911 & 1911A1 pistols and very reasonable prices. This really depressed the market for new .45’s. This is a great pistol from the beginning of the 1960’s
