In new in the box condition, with the Colt letter documenting it’s history we have a USMC Colt M45a1 Service Pistol that was purchased by a Colt Factory Employee, just about the only way that you can own this pistol as issued without the USMC logo X’ed out, as per Marine Corps decommissioning requirements.  These pistols were offered for sale to the employees of Colt, and the wise ones took advantage of the chance to obtain one.  Most of these Colt folks still own their pistols as they are a guaranteed sure bet to dramatically increase in value so they are rarely seen offered up for sale.  Collecting these pistols has almost taken on a cult status so we know that this one will not hang around for long.
