In like new in box condition with all of the giblets, we have an early production FN FNX-45 Pistol. We purchased this gun when it first came out in 2007 and it has sat in my desk drawer ever since as my office gun. Shot a couple of mags through it when we got it and it can really lay down the rounds. The reason we obtained it was at the time was because the FN made FNX-45 Pistol was the top contender for the first joint combat pistol program which was later shelved. The Army was having a hard look at the time of returning to the .45acp based upon combat use of the 9mm in Iraq. This pistol was at the time the front runner to replace the M9 Beretta and came close to replacing it. Ultimately this program was dropped for budgetary considerations but the pistol remains in commercial production and is considered by most experts to be the best .45 made from a tactical usage standpoint.
