In 97% very sharp condition, all matching and with a mint bore, we have a very scarce Variation 4 Kriegsmarine issued Mauser HSc Pistol. What makes this more interesting is that this is a rare transitional variant with the high-grade commercial finish, the early matted sight channel and the lanyard loop hole. This is fully rigged out with a navy markled holster and spare mag too! This is the scarce (only 4,500) Navy marked pistol with the eagle M/6 on the trigger guard. This is a textbook completely orthodox example in the known serial range for these pistols. This is one of the most difficult Kriegsmarine issued pistols to locate and if you collect German Navy pistols this is a big prize.
German Naval issued pistols are quite scarce, the Kriegsmarine was much smaller than the Army and the need for pistols was not nearly as high. If you couple that with many of these pistols sitting at the bottom of the North Atlantic in U-Boat wrecks you can see how scarce they are and how avidly they are collected.
