In 97% extremely hard to find very sharp condition, we have an Ultra Rare and Highly Sought-After Mauser made Subvariation 2, 1934 K Date P.08 Luger Pistol. This pistol features a mixture of the Scriptic S and the gothic S on all of the small parts. This pistol is all matching except for the magazine which is the correct type magazine from a K date Luger 31 numbers earlier, likely swapped out during training. The bore is excellent as well. You will notice that it does have the early set back front sight and the frame bump which are known features of this variant. The used but not abused look of this pistol is typical of what you find on original un-messed with K Date Lugers, but this example is much nicer than previous examples we have examined. Many of these pistols have been monkeyed with over the years and it is quite a challenge to find an original example such as this.
The K Date Luger has always been a major prize for serious Luger collectors, and we rarely ever get one in decent enough condition to take on. It may be quite a while before another decent example comes into the office.
