Description

In excellent combat used condition with 2 kill marks, we have a top example of an April, 1943 production Type 1 Inland M1A1 paratrooper carbine.  This is a fine example from the first contract run which are encountered with the high wood stock and the flip sight. The pistol grip is cartouched on the bottom and the circle P proof is in the correct location.   The sling is an early khaki SM C0 1943 dated sling that is original to the piece.  This is a completely factory original textbook example.

The M1A1 is a very popular and highly sought after piece of equipage and its use in the airborne operations in Normandy during the invasion is legendary.  This is a top example and more importantly a genuine example. This is hands down of the most interesting examples that we have seen that really speaks to you; it’s nearly impossible to locate an original example that almost certainly jumped at Normandy on D-day.
