In 98% mint crisp condition we have a 1937 production Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless Pistol. This is a very clean example and the blue really pops on this one. This is 100% factory original with a mint bore as well. It came out of New Hampshire and was carried as a personal side arm by an officer in WWII. Clean 1903 Pistols are hard to find as most of them did see use.
The 1903 Colt Pocket Hammerless was and still is one of the most romantic and sought after Colts ever made and certainly is the second most collected and collectible of the Colt automatic pistols after the Model 1911. These guns evoke images of the gangsters of the old movies and the bootleggers of the Prohibition era and they are well entrenched in American history and lore. They are also a fine example of sleek early 20th century Industrial Art. This is a premier and exceptional example of one of the most iconic Colt pistols ever produced.
