In 95% condition, we have a scarce and very flashy Nazi era RFV marked & Wiemar 1920 marked Mauser C96 Broomhandle Pistol that is chambered for 9mm. The pistol is a C96 pre-war commercial Broomhandle and it is all matching with an excellent bore. The pistol has a very well executed engraving of the R.F.V. and the inventory number. The RFV (Reichs Finanz Verwaltung) were the Nazi Border and Customs Police, who kept the borders of the Fatherland secure and made sure no one got in or out who was not approved. They served this important function all through the war and were armed with a variety of pistols and rifles. Eventually like all of the German security apparatus they eventually fell under the control of the SS during the war.
