$1,995.00
Out of stock
In 97% very sharp condition, all matching including the grips, we have a very late Pre-Victory Model Smith & Wesson 4 inch Revolver in .38 Special. Some collectors consider this to be a very early Victory Model as it has all the features of those guns other than the V suffix serial number.
This pistol was shipped to the Ford Motor Company and is marked US-AC-16528, a code which represents The Tank Automotive Center Security in Detroit Michigan. This was one of the large complexes that made Sherman Tanks and other Vehicles during WWII. While many Victory Model Revolvers were used to guard many different installations during the war and many were marked; only a few of the Major Plants such as Ford will command increased collector desirability. These Ford used revolvers are among the most desirable of the non-military Victory Revolvers.
