Description

The most important thing that I can tell you about this pistol is that has never hand an Argentine crest on it and the finish is original. In 90% been there done that condition, we have a scarce non-Argentine Mannlicher Model 1905 Pistol.  These Pistols were made by Steyr Hahn in Austria.  This pistol is all matching with a rough but usable bore.

Almost of these pistols that you see were ordered and sent to Argentina in 1905.  After they were sold out of service the Argentine crest was ground off of the frame and they were poorly re-blued and sold here as surplus.  They look bad and no one wants them.  This on the other hand is the one in a million that you see that has not been butchered.  The most likely explanation is that this example was purchased by Bolivia where they saw a lot of action in the Chaco War of the 1930’s.  This is a real find on an early automatic pistol at a very reasonable price.
