Out of stock
In 98% mint crisp condition, we have a scarce and rarely seen Sauer model 1913/1919 .25 auto Pistol. This was a WWII vet bring back and is with a scarce holster. Almost certainly this would have been carried by a high-ranking officer not involved in active combat. Although this pistol is referred to by collectors as the Model 1919 as that it when it was introduced, Sauer referred to it as the large size 6.35mm Pistol; as it was larger than the very tiny vest pocket pistols that were in use at the time. This pistol is all matching with a mint bore as well, and it is “Germany” marked indicating that it was meant to be sold overseas as an export pistol.
The model 1919 Sauer is slightly smaller than the diminutive model 1913 and it an extremely well made and reliable pistol. Another advantage of this pistol was that is was larger than the vest pocket sized pistols so it could be manipulated and shot more accurately then those very tiny pistols. When this pistol was made in the early part of the 20th Century, small .25 acp pistols of this size were considered adequate for protection and were often carried by officers and police, especially in Europe. This is one of the best made pistols of this genre and certainly is a fine collectors prize.
