In antique excellent all matching condition we have an important very early 1st year 1883 Production (#133) Suhl Consortium made M1883 Reichsrevovler with an extremely rare never seen Cavalry and Staff Officer Holster. Certainly the finest M1883 Reichrevovler that we have handled, this is an extremely early producton pistol, being the 133rd example produced. This piece certainly had a long service life and its last unit marking is to a Hessian Medical Unit.
Not only is the weapon a great find the holster is an exceptionally rare Cavarly and Staff Officers holster which is the only example that we have ever encountered. This is taken as a whole probably the most significant M1883 you could ever hope to find. The Reichsrevovlers had a very long service life right through the end of WWI and many were brought back as trophies. Certainly one of the most robust and indestructible revolvers ever made.
