In 97% condition, we have a Danish Military Issue M1910/21 Bergmann-Bayard Pistol as made in 1924 and marked Haerens Rustkammer. Only around 250o of this variant were ever made. Incredibly it still has the facotry original matching magazine which you just never see!!! The pistol is all matching with a mint bore. The M1908-10 series of Bergmann-Bayard Pistols were the sidearm of the Danish armed forces from 1908-1946 and it was a well-made and reliable weapon at the time with the powerful 9mm Bayard or Largo loading.
When the Nazis rolled into Denmark in April, 1940 most of these sidearms were surrendered to the German forces and were then reissued to occupying forces especially the Luftwaffe who issued these pistols to nco’s. Any serious collection of WWII era handguns cannot be complete without this Danish pistol and this is a much nicer and more complete example than you will often see. This is absolutely the rarest and most desirable of the Danish Bayard Pistols.
