Description
In 97% very sharp condition, we have a somewhat scarce 1915 production Walther Model 4 Pistol in 7.65 mm caliber (.32auto) That was one of the very first pistols produced under contract for Walther by the firm Immanuel Meffert Co. in Suhl. This pistol was made available for private purchase by officers for 36 marks. This is fully rigged out with a 1915 dated holster and a hard to find spare magazine.
During the war many firms in the Suhl area participated in the sub-contracting scheme through Meffert and they all have various markings to show who built them. This is one of the earliest known subcontract examples and is a great example of a German Army issued pistol from the Great war.
