SOLD US WW1 1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE….MAY, 1918….LATE BLUED RIFLE…..VERY SHARP!…..DOUGHBOY SPECIAL

In excellent very sharp condition, we have a top example of the classic US WW1 service rifle, the M1903 Springfield Rifle.  This is one of the last of the blued rifles before the switch to the Parkerized finish. The bore is mint and all the cartouches are there, as are the sling and the cleaning kit in the but.  As you probably are aware of, this is an almost impossible rifle to locate in this original condition.  These rifles were used mercilessly in two world wars and almost every one was reworked at one time or another.  Finding one in this top condition is no easy task these days.  If you are looking for the perfect example of the rifle that every Dough Boy wanted to carry in the trench then here you have it.
