Description

In Excellent Condition, used but not abused, we have a 1942 production US Military issued Winchester Model 97 Trench gun.  This is the earlier production variant with the 6 hole heat shield and the WB inspection cartouche.  This also comes exactly as we found it with an original box of buckshot.  This shotgun is the real deal; it is not a rebuilt riot gun. The date under the barrel is 41.    This is one of the most sought after long arms of WW2 and its employment in the Pacific Theater is a USMC legend.  This is a really nice gun, its not mint but it is very sharp and thousands cheaper than a mint new one.

This shotgun was vet brought back from the war by Yeoman 2nd Class Frank Bilotta, and it may have been used to guard the USS Makinac the ship he served on during WW2.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Mackinac_(AVP-13)
