Description

In 97% condition we have a very rare and seldom seen complete early production Italian Military issue Model 1910 Glisenti Pistol and an original nearly impossible to find 1918 dated packet of 9mm Glisenti Ammunition.    The pistol is all matching with an excellent bore and it still has the rarely seen tool.  This pistol was the Italian Military Service Pistol at the outbreak of the First World War, though it never came close to replacing the Bodeo Revolver and was supplemented by Beretta’s and Ruby type pistols as the war dragged on.  These pistols saw service right through WW2 as well.

These pistols are well known to collectors as being a well built pistol with a vague Luger look that shot a weaker version of the 9 m/m Parabellum round called the 9m/m Glisenti.  They will chamber a 9mm Luger round but are not safe to shoot as the original Glisenti loading was quite mild.   Today these pistols are very seldom seen, especially this complete and in such fine condition.    This is a very noteworthy pistol that would be a must have for any Italian Military or WWI collector.
