This rifle is from the lifetime collection of noted firearms historian and author Luke Mercaldo, and it was featured in his well know Reference book “Allied Rifle Contracts in America, 1914-1918″.  Along with the purchase of the rifle, you will receive a signed copy of the book, and a notarized letter of authenticity from the author. Plus, a large amount of documentation including a letter from the Winchester Museum in Cody Wyoming, which documents the fact that this important rifle was once in the collection of The Important and Noted Edwin Pugsley who was a senior executive at Winchester from 1915-1950. Mr. Pugsley was probably the most Famous Winchester executive of the 20th century and was instrumental in the development of the M1 Carbine.  I cannot recall any firearm that we have handled where the author/consignor was that thoughtful and generous to include all of that information, especially in such a concise format. Â
In mint new and I literally mean that condition, we have a very early production 1914-15, Winchester made British Contract Pattern 14 Service Rifle. What else can I say this is a brand-new example, well over a hundred years old and it looks like it was pulled right off of the assembly line. absolutely the finest know and most well documented P-14 Rifle in existence!
