This is a 95% very sharp example of a very rare and seldom ever seen Sauer Behorden (Authorities model) Pistol. This is an extremely scarce Prussian State Police “Starburst/K” marked example that is fully rigged out with the Spare magazine and the correct Prussian State Police marked holster. The pistol is all matching with a mint bore.
This was the last design upgrade of the old style 1913/30 Series of Sauer 7.65mm pistols and it was specifically designed for and marketed as a Nazi Police issued sidearm with added safety features. They were almost exclusively sold to various Nazi era Police and Security organizations. The most notable feature on this pistol is the trigger safety, which helps to prevent accidental discharge, a design feature used today most notably on Glock Pistols. These pistols are exquisitely made and finished and are of a very small size and extremely ergonomic. Very few Behordens were produced as the very innovative Modell 38 would soon replace it. Today, these pistols are seldom seen and hardly ever with the Starburst K Police marking; it is a real find for the Police or Sauer pistol collector.
