Description

In 95% very sharp condition, we have a fine example of the very stodgy and rugged Austro-Hungarian WWI Rast & Gasser Service RevolverThis example has a 1917 military acceptance date.  These 8 shot 8mm caliber revolvers were in service with the Austro-Hungarian Empire during WWI and they stuck around through the end of WWII being commonly used by all the combatants in central and eastern Europe.

These revolvers are somewhat ungainly looking to our eyes but they were extremely well made, very rugged and highly regarded as a combat arm.  They stayed in service with many countries after the war most notably Italy.  Most specimens that you encounter are well worn and not particularly nice looking, however this is a top example, it is all matching very sharp and the bore is mint. We think that this fine example will have a lot of collector interest and top examples such as this don not hang arond for long.  Newly made ammo is still produced and easily obtainable from SG ammo.
