In 98% mint crisp condition, we have a very hard to locate Nazi Occupation FN High Power Pistol. This is one of the “a” block WaA140 proofed, fixed sight variants and would have been manufactured in the fall of 1943. The pistol is all matching with a mint bore and comes with the correct original waffenamted WaA140 magazine. By 1943 wartime pressures were being experienced at the FN Plant in Liege; issues with raw materials and rising production goals meant the pistols were more hastily assembled and the cosmetic polishing was curtailed. This caused a much less refined appearance; however, the functionality was not impacted.
Getting a High Power in this top-notch condition is not an easy thing; those wide grip straps see a lot of finish loss on most examples and the markings are usually very lightly roll marked on which just leaves a faint marking. You could cut your fingers on the grips. This specimen really pops with great grip straps and very crisp markings, it is very visually appealing and just about as nice of an example that one could expect to locate.
