SOLD, EXCEPTIONAL & RARE 1908 STEYR-PIEPER PISTOL, GERMAN PROOFED EARLY PRODUCTION, STONE COLD MINT!

soldIn 98% mint crisp very bright fire-blued condition, we have a top example of a very rare and seldom seen Model 1908 Steyr-Pieper Pistol.  This pistol is very unusually German Crown/N proofed, not Austrian proofed which indicates that it was sold in Germany certainly many years before WWI.  This example still retains almost all of its fire blued small parts which really make it pop!  These intricately made pistols were designed to compete against the FN Model 1900 and to evade the patents of that design.  This pistol was a fairly successful design and it was widely used by the Austrian Police till the end of WWII.  They are quite popular with collectors and this is a top example!
