The .38 Special 4 inch Victory Model as a wartime expedient variant of the Legendary Military & Police Model. It was the standard side arm of the US Navy in WWII as most of the 1911a1 pistols went to the Army and Marines. This is the classic US Naval Aviation side arm of WWII and it was the most widely issued handgun of the US Navy during that war. US Navy Pilot George W. Bush 42 was issued and carried one and so did JFK on the PT109. For that reason alone, these are very popular with all firearms collectors. This is a must have piece for any serious US WWII collection.
