Description

SOLD In 96-97% very sharp condition, we have a US WWII issued Ithaca Model 1911a1 US Army Service Pistol.  According to the Ithaca Factory shipping records, in early June of 1944, This pistol was shipped from the Ithaca’s New York Factory to to the US Army Air Corps Base in Topeka, Kansas, for use by the 8th Air Force units bomber squadrons staging  out of there for Europe.  Documented Army Air Corps Pistols are rare and highly sought after so this is a pretty big deal.

This pistol is 100% original and textbook correct and was assembled in May of 1944.  It bears the inspection symbol of Jay Dart on the front left trigger guard and it us all factory original with an excellent bore.  This is a great example of a pistol that flew over Europe in 1944-45.
